Kate Hudon’s trainer, Ashley Conrad, tells InTouch Weekly her tricks for keeping Kate’s abs looking good year round. She is a huge advocate of protein shakes. “Midmorning, have a protein shake made with a third of a banana, some cinnamon and a half-cup of frozen spinach, plus a spoonful of raw almond butter.” She also suggests that Kate start every morning with “three chopped-up lemons with water a day to flush out water retention.” Her workout? She has Kate do lateral slides (which tones the legs, thighs and core while burning calories)!
I had no idea what a lateral slide was so I looked it up on YouTube and it looks like it is something basketball players do as a warm up! Check out the video below.
Have you ever tried these? I am going to now! My sister did a daily drink with water and lemons and said she loved it! Have you ever tried something like this? Are there any celebs you’d like me to find their workout or diet plans for?

I love Kate Hudson’s body- she’s very thin, but you can tell it’s natural and that she’s not obsessed with it. As awesome as super-toned bodies look, I think Kate’s softer definition looks great on her!! I do like water with lemon, but I’ve never had it as a means of cleansing. Water in general helps me feel cleaner though!!
Ooh I love these tips! And I love Kate Hudson. Hmm can we get Jessica Biel’s arms/butt/everything maybe?! =P

I used to do lateral slides in basketball all the time! Only our coach had us sink lower into our squat and not bring our feet completely together (less sliding, more of a quick shuffle). It really gets your quads and butt burning!

Dude I would totally love rockin abs like that! I might just have to throw a few of these tactics into my summer bootcamp! I’ve never tried water and lemon, I’m not really a lemon person (too sour! my sweet teeth object!!) – but hey, I’ll give it a try
Awesome post babe (:

Lateral movements are great! We tend to neglect moving in that direction!

I didn’t know that lemon flushed out water like that- Good to know, I feel like my body is prone to water retention. Kate Hudson and I share a last name – my abs aren’t quite that good though

Drinking lukewarm water with lemon juice in the morning is an ayurvedic mainstay for good digestive health. It stimulates your digestive system which is the crux of health from an ayurvedic perspective. Drink the full glass of water all at once and fairly quickly. (The only time to drink quickly – rest of the time eating and drinking should be done mindfully and slowly)
