The holiday season is one of the toughest times for people to make healthy eating choices as we are forced to be on the go constantly.

With all of the hours you will be clocking at the mall this holiday season, here is a great article by MSNBC called “Ten Nutritious Meals at the Mall Food Court” that can help you make the healthiest choices while you are away from home. (Photo source)

Be sure to keep a water bottle on you at all times as well, and fuel up on healthy snacks before heading out of your home or office.

What are your tips for healthy eating on a crazy holiday schedule?

You can cook a hot bowl of oatmeal in the microwave in 1 minute. And I’d eat that for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

I carry protein powder and a shaker in the car with me at all times! There’s always a food court or convenience store with water and ice in case of an emergency!

I stash healthy snacks in my purse that are light in weight too – like bars, fruits, and nuts. I’ll I need to do then is grab water or a coffee at the mall to hold me over until I can have a real meal at home.

I try to pre-pack a lot of holiday snacks, like veggies and fruit and little stuff like that so I can snack when hungry without going to town on the dip. No kidding though, it is REALLY tough.
