Weight Loss Wednesday: Week 4

by Cari on January 25, 2012

Hey guys! I hope the weight loss/healthy living change is going great for all of you! I want to hear about it every step of the way so please feel free to email me Edwardsc@mville.edu or follow me on twitter @sheddingthelbs and let me know what’s going great and what you may need help with, together I know we can help each other achieve the bodies we want!

This week I want to talk about ways to stay motivated! Normally when I get this far in a work out and diet plan I hit the same wall and my motivation seems to take a nose dive! I still haven’t lost any more weight since my last weigh in which defiantly can kill my motivation, but I know that this is just a bump in the road and at some point I’ll have to reach pavement! Lol So let’s get motivated!
What keeps you motivated today may not do the same for you tomorrow. Maybe you put a picture of your body idol or dress you want to fit in on your fridge to get yourself to think twice about eating poorly. Although that may have worked for the first week or two you may notice that by now you’re looking right past this photo and reaching for the ice cream! Switching up your means of motivation is key to keeping it fresh in your mind. Maybe the dress you want to fit into is still your motivation, then remind yourself in new ways that this is still what you are looking to achieve. Move the photo, hang the dress in new place, add reminders to your phone, anything to keep the means of motivation fresh in your mind. I personally love using my phone as a method of motivation I change the images on my screen, download new apps, and use my twitter to follow all of you for positive reinforcement!
